Competition team rules and expectations
Want to be a part of ELevate's competition teams? Here's all the information you need to know!
Competition teams are by application only (printable application at the bottom of the page).
Once teams are posted, results are final. If a dancer applies for a company, they are expected to participate in both the technique class and the choreography class. There will be no invitations sent and nothing to respond to. (If there is a time conflict, please contact the director.)
There are mandatory classes company members must take. (See Descriptions and Pricing for details.)
Each dancer is allowed 3 misses per class. This includes small groups, solos, duets, trios, conditioning/flex and ballet. Should a 4th miss occur the dancer will be immediately removed from the team. If a dancer attends, sits out and takes notes (no homework or phone), a miss will not be used and the dancer will be counted as present. There are no excused absences. All absences regardless of reason are counted as a miss.
*Attendance will be monitored very closely. Plan accordingly and leave misses for illness just in case. If a dancer has a fever they must stay home and take a miss.*
Dancers must attend all competitions, in studio dress rehearsal (Sunday, February 24th, 2019) and recitals (May 31 & June 1). Competition dates are as follows:
Tribute (Oswego, IL) March 15-17, 2019
Talent on Parade (Waukegan, IL) April 26-28, 2019
Midwest Starz (St. Charles, IL) May 10-12, 2019
